Newport Pass Beach

Out of all the beach locations I prefer, this is the easiest to get to but still allows for so many looks! The wind and water alter the landscape so it's always changing but you'll see that this location never disappoints. It's Located on North Padre Island.
Parking: Beach permit required, 4-Wheel Drive not necessary but recommended
Pros: absolutely stunning large sand dunes, wild sea oat plants, beautiful views
Cons: 4-wheel drive recommended, popular photoshoot location, requires a bit of walking

Location

Fish Pass

Fish Pass can be a bit of a drive to get to but this makes the place feel more secluded. Because of the rock jetties, there are spots where the water can be very calm allowing for peaceful beach photos. The rocky jetties are a fun and unique look but can be difficult to traverse.
Parking: Beach permit required, 4-Wheel Drive recommended
Pros: lovely sand dunes, stone jetties that make a fun walkway, beautiful views
Cons: 4-wheel drive recommended, requires a bit of walking, no restrooms

Location

The Bowl

{Currently, not driveable, 05/25/25}
The Bowl or Great Dunes is a bit of a drive but totally worth it as it looks like a different world! This location allows you to get beach/desert vibes without the water if you want, but just a short walk and you're at the waters edge. 4-Wheel drive is highly recommended.
Parking: Beach Permit Required
Pros: Stunning large dunes, can be a bit of a walk
Cons: no public bathroom, can have mosquitos

Location

Cinnamon Shore

If you're staying at Cinnamon Shore, this location has beautiful walkways, a great lawn, a pond with a pier, and it's own boardwalk to the beach! With a variety of backdrops, it might be hard to choose!
Pros: Parking, restrooms nearby, beach access, variety of locations in walking distance.
Cons: Must be staying at Cinnamon Shore to use this location.

Location

Sunflower Beach Resort

The Sunflower Beach Resort boardwalk leads to Tony Amos City Beach, which can be very busy. This location is ideal for those that don't want to travel far from Port Aransas and don't mind busy beaches. The boardwalk is wide and allows for some lovely photo opportunities.
Parking: If you park on the beach a permit is required
Pros: Boardwalk to beach
Cons: no public bathroom, a bit of a walk
